Set Apart by Grace is a blog that I use to journal my thoughts and ideas. It's a means of searching my own heart through writing and seeing God work as He changes my heart.

The Bush
When we are called to do something do we ignore the call, place it on hold, or make excuses why we can't answer. Sunday morning I listened to our Pastor as he took us through Exodus 3 and used the story of Moses as he was called by God to lead his people out of Egypt. For years I have listened and read the account of the burning bush and how Moses made excuse after excuse of why he could not lead his people out of slavery. Moses's first excuse was that of self doubt. Who me? What could God possibly see in me that would cause Him to call me? Good grief, Moses must of thought. I am a wanted man in my home county, I don't speak well and who am I going to tell them who sent me? Moses was filled with self doubt and had no confidence in himself. But God told Moses something that he promises to all of us who are followers of Jesus. I am with you, I will provide you with everything you need to accomplish what I've called you to do. I needed that reminder this morning. When I am filled with self doubt and lack of confidence when it comes to answering God's call, I don't need to ignore the call any longer but rely on the Great I Am.
