What they say is "A dog is a man's best friend." We as a family were blessed by God to be given such an animal. "Sage" as we called her never barked, showed her teeth in anger, or ever tried to lick you to death. She was just Sage.....A beagle who lived with us for almost 15 years. This past weekend we had to say goodbye. We loved her and she loved us. Saying so long to such a faithful friend was the hardest thing I've ever done. I think it was hard because I knew I'd never get to hold or pet her again or enjoy those howls as she tried to harmonize to one of Megan's b flats on her flute. Sherree and I cried most of the day. But God in all His glory displayed his awesome power to us by using a total stranger who wrapped her arms around Sherree and I in the parking lot at the Vet's office and told us it would be okay. The Lord always remains close to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 Yes He does.....

awww, I'm so sorry guys... I was just thinking about Sage the other day. I have a beagle too and I think of Sage often because they share the same characteristics... Prayin' for you guys, I know how much an animal can grow to mean to a person!
