A fresh coat of snow was covering the ground as I awoke this morning. Living in eastern North Carolina, we don't see to much snow. Normally we will get a dusting once a year that stays on the ground until lunchtime, and then the sunny warmth soon melts it away. This year is a little different. We received almost 4 inches of snow that has left the roadways slushy and dangerous. To make matters even more dangerous, the temps are not supposed to get above freezing tonight leaving all that runoff from the snow turning to ice. I love the snow, especially after the sun comes out and everything starts to melt and get back to normal. It leaves everything so clean and pure. Reminds me of the blood Jesus shed on the cross for me. After receiving Him as my Lord and Savior, my heart is pure and clean in His sight. Nothing I did could earn His favor, it's only by His grace that I am saved (Eph 2: 8-9).
Set Apart by Grace is a blog that I use to journal my thoughts and ideas. It's a means of searching my own heart through writing and seeing God work as He changes my heart.
