Happy Birthday Luke

On May 9th 2008, Luke came into this world. A bundle of joy for his parents, an answer to prayer for his "Pappy." Luke is my first grandchild and I look forward to the days when we can sit down and talk theology. Until that day I will be satisfied teaching him all about Jesus and how much God loves him using the teachings of the old testament. Vacation bible school will bring on new meaning as I anticipate his return and he tells me all about the stories he was told and what snack he had. Having a grandchild gives me the opportunity to do things a little different than when I was a parent. I can let my hair down a little and have fun, returning him home to his parents at night. Oh yeah, I'm excited because my new friend is in town!
