Set Apart by Grace is a blog that I use to journal my thoughts and ideas. It's a means of searching my own heart through writing and seeing God work as He changes my heart.

A Saint Remembered
Sunday afternoon God gathered his angels around Mrs. Vira Crocker and rolled the red carpet out for her as God called her home. Mrs. Crocker has fought the good fight and perservered in this life for over 95 years. She loved God with all her heart and with all her soul. She considered others before thinking of herself. On one of my visits to her room at the nursing home, she would start the conversation with a question, "how is so and so doing?" Worried about others before she thought of herself. She would always encourage me to pray for them and let them know she was thinking of them. She was one of those ladies in the church who would sit there and nod their heads not saying much, but would always have a keen insight of what was going on around the church. She loved young people, and was always praying for them and our Youth Pastor. She knew the importance of grounding young people in the Word. Mrs. Crocker will be missed, but I rejoice in knowing that her battle is over and now basks in God's glory. What a sight it must be, her smiling face, beaming with love for her Master and Lord.
